| Notes: | This is most often found as a second part of Académie Universelle des Jeux, but Levy [2210] is only the whist translation, stitched, as issued. In that copy, gathering E is missigned 'D' and pages 57 and 58 are misnumbered 75 and 85. There is another versions dated 1765. I have seen photographs of a few openings only and it appears to be in part the same setting of type, but for some pages different type.Translation "B" as described in Thierry Depaulis, "Hoyle Abroad, II: Hoyle in French" in The Playing Card, Volume 43, Number 4, page 226. |
